Prime Minister Levi Eshkol’s held a speech in the Knesset. He expressed hope that a joint action of the maritime nations would restore the freedom of shipping through the Straits of Tiran. However, until the Egyptian troops and her allies are gathering on the borders of Israel, he told, there always would be the danger of a conflict. President Gamal Abdel Nasser also held a speech in the National Assembly of the United Arab Republic (Egypt).
