A vehicle travelling from Syria to Jordan – with Syrian driver and passenger – exploded at the border post of ar Ramtha. The explosion left 14 (according to other source 21) people dead – 5 Jordanian policemen and border guards – and injured more than twenty. The driver and the woman passenger – both Syrian citizens – allegedly tried to escape. Jordan accused the Syrian authorities with organising the attack, while Damascus accused Amman with the same. Meanwhile Jordan was discussing the joint Arab military operations with Egypt.
