The remnants of the Egyptian units on the Sinai Peninsula were still arriving to the Suez Canal. The UN Security Council held two meetings. The Soviet Union urged the Council to condemn Israel because it occupied the territories of the Arab states by ignoring the resolutions of the Council calling for a ceasefire. Yugoslavia broke off diplomatic relations with Israel.
