The 5th emergency special session of the UN General Assembly reconvened, and the president asked the participants to inform the Assembly about the results of the consultations happened during the time of the adjournment. The central problem of the next two days was the debate about Israel failing to fulfil Assembly Resolution 2253 (ES-V) of July 4 1967 on the status of the City of Jerusalem. The representative of Pakistan, who thought that the answer of the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs to the General Assembly in connection with Resolution 2253 (ES-V) was unacceptable, submitted a new draft resolution – the previous one was submitted by him as well.
